Q: How does the rewards program work?
Earn $10 in rewards for every $200 spent.

Q: Is there a fee to join the rewards program?
No, the program is completely free to join.

Q: Do I need to sign up for the program, or am I automatically enrolled?
Everyone with an active store account is automatically enrolled.

Earning Rewards

Q: Does every purchase count toward the $200?
Yes, both in-store and online purchases count toward your rewards.

Q: Can I earn rewards on discounted or sale items?
Yes, all purchases qualify for rewards.

Q: If I return an item, does the amount spent get deducted from my rewards points balance?
Yes, the refunded amount will be deducted from your rewards points  balance.

Redeeming Rewards

Q: How do I redeem my $10 reward?
When shopping in store, available rewards will automatically be applied to your next purchase unless you specify otherwise.  Rewards dollars cannot be used during the same transaction.

Rewards can be redeemed online by leaving a comment at checkout asking a bookseller to apply your rewards dollars before processing your purchase.

Q: Are there restrictions on what I can use my rewards money for (e.g., special orders, gift cards)?
Rewards cannot be used toward the purchase of gift cards.

Q: Do rewards expire if I don’t use them?
Unused Rewards points expire after 3 years.

Tracking Rewards

Q: How can I check how much I’ve spent toward my next reward?
A bookseller can check your store account for you at any time. 

Q: Will I be notified when I earn a reward?
Yes, your current frequent buyer credit will appear at the bottom of your receipt.

Additional Questions

Q: Can multiple accounts be combined for one rewards balance?
No, rewards are tied to individual accounts and cannot be combined.

Q: Does the $200 threshold have to be reached in a single transaction?
No, your spending accumulates over multiple transactions.

Q: Can I gift rewards to someone else?
No, rewards are non-transferable.

Q: Is the program valid for online purchases, or only in-store?
Yes, online purchases are also eligible for rewards. If rewards are available they will be applied manually and purchase price updated before we process your credit card.  If you would prefer not to use your available rewards in an online purchase please leave us a note in the comments field. 

There is no cash value to your rewards, You cannot redeem your rewards for cash.
